ENERGY/ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES The subject of energy usage and energy conservation is a very timely topic. With the anticipated rise in both gas and electric rates, the usage regarding these areas will become increasingly important to various end-users. The steadily rising costs of energy have placed this operational cost in a priority position for yearly forecasting of operations budgets. Coupled with this fact is the need to consider methods of reducing current consumption levels for various structural entities and facilities. In order to more specifically serve client and prospective client needs in this area, energy consulting services are offered in order to analyze energy costs, energy usage and focused requirements. ENERGY AUDITS/ASSESSMENTS Preliminary and detailed energy audits are offered as part of the consulting services. Some of the more specific areas which the energy audits entail are:
*
Kilowatthours (kwh)
* Energy control systems ENERGY CONSERVATION PROGRAMS Develop energy conservation programs which will effectively meet the energy needs of the organization. ENERGY CONSERVATION AND TRACKING SYSTEMS Develop energy accounting systems which will allow the tracking of energy consumption and energy costs for facilities. This system will allow an organization to determine if energy conservation measures are being implemented properly. ENERGY COSTS AND CONSUMPTION PLANNING Develop projected energy costs and consumption levels for your facility which will allow you to more effectively plan current and future operating budget plans. COGENERATION STUDIES Studies conducted to determine the feasibility of installing co-generation systems for the purpose of generating both heat and power to effectively serve the facility. Thermal and economic analyses are conducted ranging from part load (peak shaving) to full load installations. ALTERNATIVE ENERGY STUDIES/GRANT PROGRAMS Develop studies and analyses for wind, solar, and alternative energy supply-side systems, to determine economic viability for various clientele facility, operational, and site location parameters. Research available grant programs for potential alternative energy system applications. DEREGULATION/DIRECT ENERGY PURCHASE REVIEWS Conduct independent reviews and analyses of potential application of third party direct electric and gas energy suppliers for economic viability and cost effectiveness for specified facilities. This would include baseline analyses and projected estimated savings based upon current facility gas and electric consumption and energy cost data. GRANT PROGRAM ASSISTANCE Assistance provided in obtaining grant programs for conducting technical assistance (TA) programs and energy conservation measure (ECM) implementation programs for schools and hospitals. ENERGY SYSTEMS ENGINEERING Design related activities for new and existing lighting, power, and HVAC systems. Services encompass preliminary design, development of plans and specifications, development of bidding/construction documents, periodic on-site reviews during construction, and energy economic evaluations focusing on viable system alternatives. COMPUTERIZED ENERGY CONSULTING SERVICES
PERFORMANCE CONTRACT REVIEW Services are provided in the area of conducting independent reviews of energy-related performance contracts. This includes:
PROJECT ORGANIZATION ACTIVITIES Project teams are developed to meet the needs of the client. Professionals are drawn upon from mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, and architectural disciplines to best meet the required design activities needed for the projects at hand. This may include such areas as HVAC design, boiler system design and replacement, electrical/power requirements, lighting design, on-site civil engineering activities, underground stage tank projects, wall reconstruction/restoration projects, co-generation projects, gas-fired chiller projects, roof-wall-and-window replacement, and new facility design.
